Residents of Dvor municipality from Croatia visited CSF
As part of the professional excursion in Slovenia, organized by the Croatian NPP NEK Fund, residents of Dvor municipality form Croatia visited in the Central Storage Facility in Brinje. In Dvor Croatia is planning its storage of radioactive waste. Our expert team presented them the activities in the facility and institutional radioactive waste management, i.e. the process of collection and transport, processing and preparation, and storage of radioactive waste. We also presented our vehicle, which we use to pick up waste and items from general use, which used to have a radioactive part.
The visitors from Croatia were very interested in our cooperation with the local community. We are proud that we have an excellent cooperation with the local community and the Municipality of Dol pri Ljubljani for three decades now. The municipality of Dol pri Ljubljani is strategically oriented towards sustainability, and residents with higher purchasing power who want to be close to the city but like to live in nature are immigrating to it. Part of the population is also engaged in agriculture. Our facility does not present any obstacles for them but we are always available for additional information. Dneve odprtih vrat.
