LILW disposal construction work carried out since the beginning of the construction until today
As part of the construction of the transport, communal, energy and telecommunications infrastructure, a section of the road which is categorized as a public road will be reconstructed, up to the road junction of the Spodnji Stari Grad Waste Management Center, and further on is an uncategorized public road. The approximate length of the section of the road where construction is taking place is 560 meters. Along the road, there will be a one-sided path for cyclists and pedestrians, which will be separated from the carriageway by a green strip, public lighting will also be arranged along the path, and road junctions will also be constructed and reconstructed in the area of the road. The public water supply will be reconstructed and moved to the green belt area.
Earthworks have already been carried out along the route of the road arrangement, excavation to the appropriate depth of the supporting soil and backfilling for the road has been arranged. Concrete work was also carried out on the shaft of the sewage pumping station. The construction must be adapted to the traffic and activities of the CRO Spodnji Stari Grad area, where there is intense traffic every day.
The route of the sewage pressure line will be built up to the existing sewage system with a connection to the Libna pumping station, the section is approx. 770 meters long and runs mainly through agricultural land. The project, which is under construction, includes the arrangement of the surfaces of the entrance part of the landfill, where the transport infrastructure for the landfill is an access road with a parking lot for employees and visitors. A field will be arranged for the drainage of the landfill's storm water, as well as a construction road for the construction of the LILW disposal facilities. The construction project also includes arrangements for the physical and technical protection of the disposal site, the external fence of the nuclear facility with maintenance routes, arrangements for the controlled area of the nuclear facility and the implementation of security for the entire construction period of the nuclear facility. Part of the implementation works also includes monitoring during construction, for this type of monitoring measurements of the state of the environment were carried out before construction.
